How can I book an escape room?

When are you open, and what are your operating hours?

We are open year ’round, even during haunted house season*. 5pm – 9:30pm Thursdays 5pm – 11:15pm Fridays 3:30pm – 11:15pm Saturdays 1pm – 5:30pm Sundays *Except Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. However, we operate by appointment/advanced booking only and are staffed accordingly. As a result, there may not be anyone in the building during all operating hours if no appointments have been made.

Is there an age limit?

We recommend our games for ages 12 and up. We do allow younger players, but some of the game content may be too difficult for them. Players that are 14 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult. Any participants under the age of 18 will need an adult to sign their waiver.

Is it scary?

Only 1 of our 4 rooms can be considered “scary.” Serial Killer, which is themed to a mature level, features a few “jump” scares. But, it is not scary like the haunted house and no live actors are involved. There is an emergency exit button available should any player wish to exit the room before it is finished. NOTE: Players are handcuffed and chained to the wall to start our Serial Killer game. NOTE: Weekends (Friday-Saturday, some Thursdays) from mid-September to early November every year, participants in the Heist and Outbreak games will have to walk through the middle of the Factory of Terror Haunted House in order to reach their escape rooms. They will also hear the sounds of the haunted house around them as they play their games. If this is an issue for anyone in your group, we advise you to avoid booking on nights where the Factory is open, or book on Sundays during the day.

How long before my scheduled time do I need to arrive?

Please plan to arrive at LEAST 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Your room timer will begin no more than 5 minutes after your scheduled time whether or not you are here (barring emergencies or our own error.) If you arrive after that time, you will NOT get the full 30, 45, or 60 minutes to play the game.

Customers arriving 20+ minutes LATER than their scheduled time (without notifying us at 330-536-3327 with a legitimate reason) will have all tickets voided and will not be admitted into the game.

How many people can play in an escape room?

The Heist & Outbreak – 4-10 ppl; Serial Killer & The Cursed Tomb – 2-8 ppl; Fallout – 2-4 ppl There must be at least 4 people in The Heist & Outbreak for the room to be run.

If I am late, can I still play?

If you arrive after the time on your ticket, and the game has begun, you will not be able to participate as it would disrupt the game for the other players in that time slot. If your group is going to be late for your scheduled time slot, or you will not be able to make it, please call us at (234) 281-3037 to let us know. If you give us notice, we WILL allow you to reschedule your room. If your entire group has not arrived within 15 minutes after your scheduled time, and you have not given notice, your time slot will be forfeited and tickets voided. However, our policy is absolutely no refunds.

Will I be playing the game with people I don't know?

Perhaps. We recommend you play the games with your own group. If your group is small, you may be matched up with people you do not know. Don’t worry, this can actually make your experience more fun. The only way to ensure that your group is alone in a room is to purchase all available tickets for that room & time slot or check the “private event” box on our ticketing page.

Will I actually be locked in a room?

Yes and no. The room will be locked at the start of the game, however, an emergency exit/panic button is located by the door in the event you must exit the room. Please alert your game controller if this causes you any anxiety or discomfort.

Are there any dangers for guests with epilepsy?

Yes. Our Serial Killer room features flickering lights that have triggered seizures in customers previously. If you suffer from epilepsy or any other disorder that may be affected by this, please alert your game controller before the game begins. Also, our Outbreak game involves slightly flickering lights.

What should I wear?

Please dress to escape. We recommend clothes and shoes that are comfortable to bend, reach, sit, and move around in. Heels, open-toed shoes, and dresses are not recommended. Please know that, if you’ve booked our Heist room, it is possible you or someone else in your party may be crawling on the floor at some point. So, we recommend not wearing anything you don’t want to get dirty.

What if I, or someone else in my party, is "drunk" or "under the influence?"

We reserve the right to refuse service to any parties we deem as a danger to other guests or our employees. If you or anyone else in your group arrives overly intoxicated or otherwise afflicted, you will not be permitted to play.

Do you sell gift certificates or gift cards?

We do sell gift vouchers in increments of $25, $50, and $100. They are available for purchase by clicking HERE.

Can I book a corporate or team-building event at your facility?

YES! We love doing corporate events here at Escape Canton. There are two (2) different conference rooms available for rent, as well as discounted escape room pricing for corporate groups who make use of those rooms. Escape rooms can be a fabulous tool for encouraging teamwork among employees, and, if you book your event at Escape Canton, you’d be joining many other influential companies from Northeast Ohio. Do you offer refunds?

All of our games are non-refundable. However, we can reschedule your game if you contact us at least 24 hours prior to your game start time.
